Hotel Alte Post Fieberbrunn Facilities and Amenities – What Can You Expect?
The Hotel Alte Post Fieberbrunn impressed us from the moment we entered it for the first time. Each guest is personally announced and welcomed by name on a large board. This is what true hospitality looks like. And it should continue like this: The room is large and modern, the wellness area is a dream for sauna fans and the food is an absolute highlight that deserves an award.
Does that sound like I'm raving about the hotel? Assuredly. But that's how it is. We would have loved to pack up the chef and take him home with us. Below I will introduce you to the most important amenities and facilities of the Alte Post.
1. Rooms and Suites
Our room was from the Eder's Deluxe category - modern and at the same time comfortably furnished, with lots of wood and a large, comfortable bed. One of my highlights was the hanging chair next to the large balcony, on which you could make yourself comfortable.
The Hotel Alte Post Fieberbrunn has a total of 52 rooms and suites, most with a balcony, all renovated and equipped with cable TV, safe, hairdryer, make-up mirror and WiFi. The rooms are generally spacious and comfortably furnished, with warm materials and colours.
Most rooms are double rooms and have a balcony with a view of the mountains and the square in the village center. The room sizes vary between 22 m² and 30 m². The newly built Suite Deluxe is 45 m² in size and has a separate living and sleeping area, a bathtub and a shower.
Rooms for families
If you are traveling with a large family or group, the Mountain Pine Family Suite could be just the thing for you. With a size of 56 m², it offers enough space for 2 to 6 people. You can book this suite from 159 euros per person per day.
The hotel also offers various suites for smaller groups or couples. The Kitz Suite with 46-49 m² offers space for 2 to 4 people and also costs from 159 euros per person per day. The Mountain Pine Suite with a size of 44 to 56 m² is suitable for 2 to 5 people and is available from 139 euros per person per day. The Eder’s Deluxe Suite offers space for 2 to 5 people on 46 m² and costs from 154 euros per person per day.
Attractive double rooms
There are also numerous double room options. The Eder’s Deluxe double room offers space for 2 to 3 people on an area of 28 m² and costs from 133 euros per person per day. The Kitz Deluxe double room is the same size and can accommodate 2 to 4 people; prices per person per day start at 127 euros. There is also the Spielberg double room and the Latschenkiefer double room, both of which are 25 m² in size and can accommodate 2 people.
These rooms are available from 114 euros or 107 euros per person per day. For those who prefer a single room, there is the Eder’s Deluxe single room with a size of 18 m², which can be booked from 112 euros per person per day.
Chalet Tyrol
A special option is the Chalet Tirol, which offers an area of 75 m² and can accommodate two to three people. It can be booked from 400 euros per day for two people.
Please note that all prices may vary depending on availability and season. We have already written them here as examples so that you can get an idea of how the hotel is priced. I recommend you check the room details and prices on the Hotel website to check or send a request directly to the hotel to confirm availability and make a booking.
2. Restaurant
The evening 5-course menu at the Hotel Alte Post was definitely one of the highlights of our entire vacation. The food is of a very, very high standard that enchants the palate and puts a smile on the guests' faces.
The restaurant gives guests the chance to enjoy authentic Tyrolean cuisine in modern variations in a warm and inviting environment. The restaurant's cuisine is characterized by its original and down-to-earth dishes, which demonstrate love and passion for Tyrolean cuisine.
Creative reinterpretations between tradition and modernity
The kitchen team's creative reinterpretations create unique taste experiences that are simple and yet unique at the same time. Chef Stefan, for example, recommends the smoked trout fillet from the Scheffaurer farmer in Fieberbrunn - perfectly accompanied by a sparkling white wine. Vegetarians and vegans have to be strong now: My absolute favorite was the perfectly fried veal fillet - it was just perfect. And this is just one of the many gourmet experiences the restaurant offers.
We had a lot of praise for the chefs
During our visit, we couldn't avoid having the chefs praised several times. The kitchen team at the Hotel Alte Post strives to create surprising gourmet experiences and to provide that certain something extra. They fill every moment of pleasure with original taste and typical nuances of Tyrolean cuisine. Whether it's the traditional Tyrolean dumplings or other local specialties. The aim is always to offer guests an unforgettable culinary experience.
In the morning there is a rich breakfast
The luxury board of the hotel offers guests a rich breakfast buffet every morning. The attentive service of the staff and the cozy rooms with Tyrolean charm contribute to the general well-being. The restaurant of the Hotel Alte Post is proud to be a member of "KochArt - Delicacies from the Kitzbühel Alps". This underlines the importance of regionality and the close cooperation with the farmers in the area. It is this deep connection to the region that enables the restaurant of the Hotel Alte Post to offer its guests truly authentic Tyrolean cuisine.
3. Wellness & Spa
During our vacation we planned an extra two hours before dinner every day for the exclusive spa and wellness area, which really leaves nothing to be desired. As big wellness and sauna fans, we got our money's worth at the Hotel Alte Post. The mountain pine spa is an oasis of relaxation on 800 square meters.
Here you can switch off and relax with tense muscles immediately after a day full of experiences in the mountains, take a deep breath, let yourself be pampered and recharge your batteries. Enjoy the beneficial effects of mountain pine, known for its healing and calming properties.
Numerous saunas available
Whether in the stone pine steam bath, in the organic parlor sauna or in the mountain pine block sauna outdoors - in the hotel's wellness area you'll work up a sweat and strengthen your immune system. Cold showers, ice and the panorama pool, which offers you a breathtaking view of the Kitzbühel Alps, provide the necessary cooling.
In this oasis of calm in Fieberbrunn you can let yourself drift and capture the moment when the sun sinks behind the mountains and the sky is bathed in a sea of colours. And if you just want to enjoy the peace and quiet, make yourself comfortable in one of the relaxation rooms. Whether on the water beds or in the panoramic relaxation room with a view of Fieberbrunn - do as we do, switch off and let your soul dangle.

Hotel Alte Post Fieberbrunn – Experience & Reviews
My conclusion
I raved quite a bit about the Alte Post Fieberbrunn in this review. And you might think: That's almost too good to be true. Yes, exactly – we found that too. The hotel in the middle of Fieberbrunn is almost too beautiful. It really is the ideal starting point if you want to experience something in PillerseeTal and do a lot on site.
Because I can only warmly recommend it: After a long day full of experiences, you can relax and unwind wonderfully in the huge wellness area on over 800 square meters.
And I don't need to repeat it again: the food in the hotel is really amazing. Every evening there is a different highlight. If there weren't enough other reasons to reside here, the food alone would be enough. Overall and the bottom line, we can recommend this wonderful hotel without reservation and hope that it won't be too long before we find ourselves in this beautiful house again.
