Canaries (Canary Islands) – the islands of eternal spring in the Atlantic
The Atlantic is rough - and so are the Canary Islands when viewed from a distance, all of which are of volcanic origin and whose jagged rocks and barren mountains can often be seen from many kilometers away. And that's what many people think of when it comes to the islands: mass tourism, cheaper Vacation and castle beds – all of this actually exists in the Canary Islands. But the islands also have a completely different side: They offer adventure, pure nature, a variety of opportunities for wellness, activities and everyone who wants to go on a discovery tour on their island vacation. The Canary Islands are simply diverse, all together and each on their own - true to the motto: One for all and all for one. Canary Islands vacation – one of the most popular travel destinations in Europe
The Canary Islands are always an ideal holiday destination - they are diverse, varied and offer the right activities and sights for every taste. The islands are incredibly attractive for nature lovers - upon closer inspection, the vegetation is not nearly as sparse as one might think at first glance. Although there aren't too many beaches, the existing bays are certainly impressive.
Unfortunately, however, they are often very busy - especially during the peak travel season, which is in the Summer is. A vacation in the Canary Islands is not only worthwhile between May and September. The favorable location in front of North Africa makes the islands an ideal travel destination for the whole year. The weather in the Canary Islands is often sunny and temperatures rarely drop below 20 degrees Celsius, even in the depths of winter.
The rush of holidaymakers has made the Canary Islands a destination with many cheap hotels - I don't want to say - castles in the last few decades. However, in recent years there has been a rethink, many are emerging Hotels and resortsthat rely on class instead of mass. In addition, there are more and more hotel concepts that serve niches - such as hotels for hikers or active people. There are also attractive apartments, holiday apartments and holiday homes on the islands. If the development continues like this, the islands will develop more and more into a more sustainable premium destination that relies much more on class.

First of all, thank you very much for the detailed description and your great pictures! I plan to shorten the winter and book for Gran Canaria soon. Although I'm not the diver now, I'll rather snorkel but want to enjoy this diversity under water. I'm not sure yet whether we will do everything together with the little ones, what do you think about family suitability, i.e. with a toddler of three years on board, my cousin's daughter would be there. We have considered a great offer via Linz Airport, although we are generally not all-inclusive travelers, but with our little one it's the simplest solution. Splashing around is the order of the day. I'm happy for that!
