My personal Pitiusas Beach Resort experiences

I had heard from a Thailand insider who lives on Phuket how beautiful the island of Koh Lipe is and spontaneously set off for the deep south of the country. I was looking for good, cheap resorts locally and came across the Pitiusas Beach Resort Koh Lipe - an excellent choice that I was completely satisfied with. The resort is incredibly familiar.

The first thing that struck me was the gorgeous beach that looks a bit like Seychelles or Maldives. The archipelago around Koh Lipe is not considered Thailand's Maldives for nothing. The water is crystal clear and the white sand is fine-grained. Also, there are relatively few rocks in the water, only blocks of coral, which makes swimming and snorkeling a dream. The bungalows at Pitiusas Beach Resort Koh Lipe are on the slope in front of the beach - you can hear the waves crashing from your bed.

The next morning I was able to try the resort's water sports facilities. The team is very friendly and helpful. You feel you are in good hands at all times. I felt that safety always comes first. Snorkeling and swimming are two activities that you should definitely try. But you can also rent a kayak and explore the beautiful west coast of Koh Lipe. I didn't want to go back and I was exhausted, but it was definitely worth it.

Who is Pitiusas Beach Resort Koh Lipe suitable for?

Pitiusas Beach Resort Koh Lipe is suitable for everyone who is looking for a beautiful, idyllic and natural environment and enjoys nature travel, as the entire national park around Koh Lipe is uninhabited and can be visited. The resort also offers excellent value for money - making it suitable for budget vacations. However, if you are looking for luxury, you will be disappointed. The small resort is very basic and doesn't offer a spa, all-inclusive or anything like that.

The bungalows are rather basic but comfortable. Especially couples looking for peace and seclusion, and families with small children will feel very comfortable here. You can experience a wonderful beach vacation. The resort is also suitable for outdoor fans who want to explore the national park on foot or by kayak, as well as divers who want to visit the most beautiful dive sites in Tarutao National Park.

The Pitiusas Beach Resort Koh Lipe is a very small old-school bungalow resort, as known from the old days in Thailand. It was personally built by the owner and his wife and is run with a lot of love and passion. The place where the resort is located is truly paradise and picturesque. The location could hardly be better. You have the choice between fan bungalows and bungalows with air conditioning on site - the accommodations are completely sufficient for sleeping, because during the day you explore the island anyway or spend a lot of time on the beach or in the water.

Pitiusas Beach Resort Koh Lipe – Bungalows

The Pitiusas Beach Resort has just under a dozen bungalows. There are bungalows with air conditioning and bungalows with fans. All bungalows are very solidly built, very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bungalows are all located on a hillside directly in front of the beach.

All bungalows have a double bed or 2 single beds, a mosquito net, a fan or air conditioning, a wardrobe and a bathroom with shower and toilet. There are no TVs or refrigerators in the bungalows. You can rent a locker at reception to store your valuables. The bungalows at Pitiusas Beach Resort Koh Lipe are very spacious and comfortable, but basic. Don't expect luxury here -- which also keeps prices low.

Pitiusas Beach Resort Koh Lipe - Restaurant

The Pitiusas Beach Resort has a small restaurant right on the beach with a wonderful view. The restaurant serves delicious Thai and international dishes. The food is very good but there isn't much choice.

In the morning you can have your breakfast in the restaurant. There are eggs, toast, fruit, coffee and tea. You can order the eggs according to your taste. For lunch and dinner you can choose from the menu. There are the usual Thai dishes. The prices are a bit higher than in the village but still totally reasonable. In the evening you can have a drink in the restaurant. There is a small selection of drinks.

The service at Pitiusas Beach Resort was very good during my stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. They always have a smile on their face and try to make your stay as comfortable as possible

Prices at Pitiusas Beach Resort are a bit higher than in the village but still reasonable. For example, a bungalow with a fan costs 75 euros per night in high season. This is a medium price level. In general, prices on Koh Lipe are higher than the average in Thailand.

Pitiusas Beach Resort has a lot of positive aspects. The bungalows are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is great, the beach is beautiful and the view is breathtaking. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is good but there isn't much choice. The only negative point is that the complex is a bit isolated. If you want to go to the village you have to walk about 20 minutes or take a taxi. But that is also an advantage, because the complex is very quiet and you can really relax here.
