Coziness, warmth and a place to retreat to after a day on the ski slopes – the VAYA Resort in Fieberbrunn impressed us from the very first moment. The large and quite spacious hotel in the immediate vicinity of the valley station combines cozy luxury with modern and traditional influences. We have this GO Fieberbrunn Resort in detail and put together our personal impressions of the hotel and some reviews from other guests in a review.

After what feels like an endless car ride from Hamburg, we finally reach Fieberbrunn. The small, cozy place seems very familiar to us because we spent two wonderful weeks in this rustic and beautiful Tyrolean village in the summer. The joy of seeing each other again is great now that we are finally back. And this time a real hotel highlight awaits us on site: the VAYA Fieberbrunn Resort.
A modern resort with spa that is practically new and was built just a few years ago. We had already seen it on our first visit to Fieberbrunn and thought to ourselves: We would like to stay there the next time we return to Fieberbrunn. Said and done.
Like home from the first moment
And so we feel at home at VAYA from the first moment we enter the lobby. The stress immediately falls away from us. The warm atmosphere with the comfortable furniture and the glass fireplace in the open rooms immediately warms our hearts. How nice is it here when you come in from the cold outside? This is probably the rustic, cozy log cabin among the hotel lobbies.
And that's not all: our room is also great. Everything is still so beautifully new. The bathroom is large and modern, the bed is comfortable and cozy. And our view of Fieberbrunn and the mountains is a hit. We have a huge balcony with a lounger that runs around half the room and from which you can see all the way to the Wilder Kaiser. I would love to sit on the balcony, snuggled up with a thick blanket, observe the surroundings and simply enjoy the view of the mountains.

Our highlight: the wellness area of the VAYA Fieberbrunn
As big wellness fans and sauna goers, we are always looking for hotels with a particularly beautiful VAYA spa area and this time we found it again in Fieberbrunn. The indoor and outdoor pool, which is over 30 degrees warm, is a real eye-catcher and, if in doubt, even invites you to swim a few lengths. But after a long day on the slopes, you'll probably want to warm up in one of the large, cozy saunas. At least that's how it was for us.
We went to the VAYA wellness area every day and had a good time there. You will find a steam bath, a Finnish sauna, a moderately warm sauna, an excellent relaxation room and, for physical exercise, a fitness room with everything an athlete's heart desires so that you don't miss out on your workout even on vacation. I still go on the treadmill after a day on the ski slopes and was therefore very pleased with the modern, high-quality equipment.

The VAYA Fieberbrunn is a modern and comparatively new resort that only opened in 2019. Casual luxury, a lot of warmth and comfort and excellent cuisine await you on site. The rooms and suites have something to suit every taste and budget. You can even rent your own chalet at the hotel. Below we have put together the hotel's most important amenities for you.
1. Rooms, suites and chalets at VAYA Fieberbrunn
We really liked our room at the VAYA Fieberbrunn. It was modern and cozy at the same time thanks to the lots of wood and had a beautiful balcony with a view. The box spring bed was simply huge and extremely comfortable – just like at home.
The rooms in the Vaya are still pretty new because the hotel is still very young (built in 2019). We really liked that. If you want something even bigger and more luxurious, you will also find apartments, suites, penthouses and your own chalet in the hotel. So you can reside here very luxuriously as needed.
2. The food in the hotel
I have found that breakfast is really crucial on an active holiday in Fieberbrunn so that you can start your day on the ski slopes feeling refreshed. Breakfast offers you everything you need for a good start to the day.
And you can also look forward to culinary highlights for dinner after a long day outdoors. A menu with regional and international delicacies awaits you.
3. The wellness area
As already mentioned, the wellness area is one of our highlights of this beautiful hotel in Fieberbrunn. You can make your stay here even more relaxing by making extensive use of the resort's wellness area.
On site you will find a large pool with indoor and outdoor areas, a sunbathing area, a textile sauna, a Finnish sauna, a moderately warm sauna with 60 degrees Celsius and a relaxation area. And if you're looking for an extra dose of relaxation, you'll also find excellent massages at VAYA.
4. The facility
The VAYA is a visually appealing hotel, designed in regional style and combined with modern accents. This makes it both local and modern, which I think is a very successful combination.
The extensive hotel complex can be used very well in summer for stays at the outdoor pool. In winter you tend to stay indoors anyway. I think the hotel complex is extremely attractive – really something to behold.
Who is the VAYA Resort Fieberbrunn suitable for?
A holiday at the VAYA Resort Fieberbrunn is particularly suitable for everyone who is looking for an upscale atmosphere and casual luxury. Due to its location near the Fieberbrunn valley station, the resort is ideal for active holidaymakers who want to ski in winter and hike or bike in summer.
As wellness fans, we also got our money's worth here. If you rent a suite or chalet, you can also experience high-end luxury.
What can you do from Vaya?
You can use the VAYA wonderfully for all activities and experiences in the PillerseeTal. The resort is of course particularly popular with skiers because it is close to the Fieberbrunn valley station and gives you quick access to the ski area. The same applies to hiking and biking in summer. You'll be on the mountain in no time.
And of course you can also go to all other sights in the PillerseeTal from the VAYA Fieberbrunn, such as the Pillersee itself, the Jakobskreuz and the Steinplatte Waidring. If you've been active throughout the day, the hotel is the ideal retreat to relax and recharge your batteries.

Before I choose a hotel, I always look very carefully at what reviews other guests give a hotel. Overall, the VAYA has received very positive reviews. On Google, the resort has 4,5 out of 5 points with over 700 reviews. The overall rating at HoolidayCheck is 5,0 out of 6 points, based on 116 reviews. The hotel is rated as very good and has a high recommendation rate.
Guests particularly praise the location, cleanliness, service and value for money. It is also mentioned that the hotel has comfortable rooms, good facilities and free Wi-Fi. One guest mentioned that the staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, the VAYA Fieberbrunn is described as fabulous on booking.com.

Our personal rating of the VAYA Fieberbrunn
We felt at home at VAYA from the first moment - and that didn't change for the rest of our stay. In my opinion, the hotel also meets high standards and therefore receives 9,3 out of 10 points from us - one of the highest ratings we have ever given to a hotel.
The VAYA Fieberbrunn – the ideal hotel for skiing and hiking?
My conclusion
We have been fond of Fieberbrunn ever since we had a wonderful time here on our first visit in the summer. We had one of our most beautiful Austrian holidays ever here. And of course that has raised the bar incredibly high for winter holidays in Fieberbrunn. And with the truly unbeatable combination of winter landscape, ski area and brilliant hotel, Fieberbrunn once again delivered on our second trip: The VAYA Fieberbrunn is definitely one of the best hotels and resorts on site.
We were more than thrilled with our visit to this excellent house - and will hopefully stay here again on our next visit to Fieberbrunn. The cozy ambience, the friendly and courteous staff, the large spa area, the delicious food that definitely meets even the most sophisticated standards and the beautiful room played their part in making our winter holiday in Fieberbrunn a truly unique experience.
Basically, it doesn't matter whether you spend the whole day on the ski slopes, go snow hiking or simply spend the whole day in the wellness area. You can hardly make it more comfortable in winter than with a stay at the VAYA Resort Fieberbrunn. That's why we give it top marks and a clear recommendation for this hotel for your next stay in Fieberbrunn.
