My experiences with the botanical garden in Mauritius

During our adventurous trip to the beautiful island of Mauritius, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to explore the stunning Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden. We drove comfortably in our rental car to the extensive grounds of the garden, which already greeted us with an abundance of free parking. As soon as we entered the entrance area, we were surprised by a small but charming turtle enclosure. While not the park's most outstanding experience, it was an interesting stop nonetheless. If you want to see a greater variety of giant tortoises, I recommend La Vanilla Nature Park as an ideal alternative.

The Botanical Gardens in Mauritius were some of the sights we saw on the trip. We drove to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden by rental car. There is more than enough free parking space there. The relatively small turtle enclosure is right at the entrance. It is certainly not the highlight of the park. You can better observe giant tortoises in La Vanilla Nature Park.

Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens was the perfect choice for those who fancy a long walk amidst a lush and mesmerizing natural landscape. We lost ourselves in the beguiling beauty of the myriad of plant species, marveled at the majestic trees adorned with lianas and were enchanted by the impressive architecture of the magnificent Mon Plaisir mansion. Another highlight of the garden was the symbolic area where trees were planted, brought to Mauritius as gifts by heads of state from around the world. Here we felt the connection and respect that the international community has for this small island paradise.
