Austria Blog – travel report, tips & experiences

I love holidays in Austria – the impressive mountains, the fresh air and the crystal clear streams. The small holiday destination can be reached quickly from all over Central Europe and offers wonderful travel destinations everywhere. In particular, I have visited the capital Vienna over 20 times. But a holiday in the mountains - for hiking in summer or skiing in winter - is always a special experience. Below I have listed my experiences and travel reports from Austria.

You can see the Jacob's Cross on the Buchensteinwand from many kilometers away. The largest summit cross in the world is an impressive sight. We started in St. Jakob in Haus and looked at the hiking area. What is there to discover? Is it worth? During our holiday in the PillerseeTal we were particularly impressed by one hiking area: the Steinplatte Waidring. The high plateau at up to 1869 meters is ideal for logging a lot of kilometers and going on a discovery tour. There is also the Triassic Park at the height - a theme park with life-sized dinosaurs, a playground, water features, a stalactite cave and a spectacular viewing platform over the abyss.
