In addition, the region is particularly quiet and not as touristy as the area around Hurghada.

The entire Marsa Alam region is very beautiful and is certainly one of my favorite areas in Egypt, as it is particularly quiet and relaxed here. Personally, I find the area all the more beautiful the further south you go in the direction of the Wadi el Gemal National Park, as it tends to be quieter. There are beautiful beaches and where there are not so many snorkelers and divers around, the marine life increasingly comes out of their hiding places.
