ITB Berlin is the world's leading travel trade fair, where tour operators, hotels and resorts, tour operators, journalists, travel bloggers, influencers and of course all private visitors whose favorite hobby is travel come together. To put it simply, everyone who deals with travel and vacations professionally and privately meets in this melting pot. Which travel destinations are trending? What does ITB Berlin offer for travel bloggers and influencers? And what else is there to discover? We took a look around and report on our impressions, travel trends and inspirations that we brought back from the exhibition. Our little experience report from the fair.
Once a year, the whole world meets - not just proverbially, but real - in the Berlin exhibition halls at the ITB, the largest travel fair in the world. Destinations as far as the eye can see. Over 180 countries from six continents are represented at the exhibition. 10.000 exhibitors take part in the trade fair, 160.000 participants in total. This year, Just Wanderlust will be there for the first time as one of 110.000 trade visitors. I'll investigate the question of what ITB Berlin is for travel bloggers and influencers has to offer and what there is to discover for everyone interested in travel. And that's a whole lot, all in all.
My first impression on site is clear: damn, it's full. Traffic chaos outside the door, crowds in the exhibition halls. But fascination and enthusiasm quickly set in. The ITB Berlin depicts the whole world in small format. And each hall is its own cosmos with different colors, smells and impressions. As different as the countries themselves. That's why ITB Berlin is for travel bloggers and Influencers an El Dorado. And of course for private visitors as well. There is new travel inspiration and ideas for your next trip around every corner. You can make contacts in the countries or simply be showered with new ideas for travel and future trips.

ITB Berlin for travel bloggers and influencers – competent advice from insiders
Especially those who travel from further afield and may not come from Germany but from neighboring countries, of course, ask themselves whether a visit to the trade fair as a holiday fan, avid hobby travel report writer or travel blogger at ITB Berlin is really worthwhile. The answer is definitely yes. Because you probably only have the chance to visit such a huge number of tour operators in such a relatively small space once a year at the ITB, Hotels and resorts, airlines, tour operators and everyone who has anything to do with travel. Basically, you can come to the travel fair simply to get inspiration. That's really enough of a reason. A day at the trade fair itself can be considered a vacation in everyday life - even a little bit of an adventure vacation.
Holiday fans can find travel inspiration at ITB Berlin
If you have not yet been to a travel fair, you will be overwhelmed by the abundance of cultures, countries and culinary delights that are offered at many stands. And despite my advanced knowledge of geography, I also discovered one or the other country that I didn't even know before. So you can walk around there all day and let the variety and great stands and travel destinations wash over you.
The problem here, however, is that you will come into every hall and be overwhelmed by an incredible variety of brilliant travel destinations. The list of vacation destinations where you really want to go immediately is getting longer by the minute. That's why it makes sense to select really carefully and to mentally divide the countries into regions and priorities.
I took a little bit of disqualification and chose the destinations I prefer: Mauritius, Costa Rica and the next trip to the US are now at the top of the Travel Bucket List. If and when it starts, you will then in due time in the appropriate travel reports can read in the Just Wanderlust travel magazine.
Properly competent advice to search for a holiday destination
Perhaps the best thing about the fair is that you can get really competent advice for each country from experts directly from the respective country. I noticed that the exhibitors report with passion and commitment about their countries and travel destinations.
They stand behind what they ultimately sell at the show. If your really expert advice from a real Vacation insider For a certain destination, there is certainly no better place for it than a travel fair like the ITB in Berlin. Of course, this also applies to all private travel fans as well as to all travel bloggers who may want to plan their tours for the coming year.

ITB Berlin as a travel blogger: valuable new input for travel
For everyone who writes about traveling, the ITB is probably one of the most important events in German-speaking countries. Anyone who visits ITB Berlin as a travel blogger has several advantages. On the one hand, you can get to know wonderful contacts for the respective travel destination. On the other hand, travel bloggers at the ITB get an excellent overview of which technologies are available that are also suitable for travel blogs. Booking system providers are on site and can be contacted directly. On the other hand, there is of course the opportunity for travel journalists and bloggers to establish many valuable contacts with tourist boards and insiders or simply Interviewee to win exciting new posts. However, I recommend to travel writers to make appointments with the appropriate people before the fair. There is such a bustle on the ground that it is relatively difficult to come spontaneously into conversation.
As a travel blogger you have other benefits. In the Marshall House movie theater is the ITB Blogger Base, where you can not only meet other travel bloggers, but also laptop and Co invite (and just sit) can. Incidentally, the registration as a travel blogger goes online https://www.itb-berlin.de/Besucher/Fachbesucher/Blogger/.
ITB Blogger Speed Dating – events at ITB specifically for travel bloggers and influencers
As part of the travel fair, there are also some events specifically for travel bloggers. The most important is probably the ITB Blogger Speed Dating, where Blogger have the opportunity. At this event, bloggers meet exhibitors and can make up to 9 short appointments to network and plan collaborations.
We didn't take part in that because you have to register for it in October of the previous year. I've heard that Blogger Speed Dating fills up within minutes once registration opens. So you should be quick if you want to register for it (and so will I next time).

ITB Berlin for travel bloggers and influencers – our experience at the trade fair
My conclusion
This year, for the first time, I was at the fair for my travel magazine Just Wanderlust. And of course I did not regret it. So many new impressions, gained so much inspiration and get an overview of how many travel companies and providers of various travel services you have not really on the screen. The fair is an excellent fair, in order to win for the hobby of travel and vacation just a few new impulses, with which one would not have expected in advance. That's why I can say very clearly: ITB Berlin is a must-go for travel bloggers and certainly an important date that should not be missed during the year.
For all private holiday fans the visit is worth even more. After all, the opportunities that one has to get in touch with insiders of the holiday destinations and also get to know hotels directly is probably only possible to this extent in the German-speaking world during the ITB Berlin. And of course, at the fair, you can also make some nice travel snacks, with which you can get a little cheaper in the next vacation. All in all, the fair is absolutely worth a visit - and you should enter it firmly in your calendar in March.
