How well can you dive in the backpacker mecca? And why does the giant aviator A380 prove to be so diving-friendly? This is part of my 1 travelogue about the Gilis and Lombok. 

Let's go to Diving to Indonesia I would like to see three very special pearls: the Gili Islands. Gili-What? After I got over the first hint of associations with Giligan's Island and had a look at the Google Maps map, I actually discovered the three mini-islands between the large and popular holiday destinations of Lombok and Bali in Indonesia. Gili Meno hide between Bali and Lombok, Gili Air and the main island of Gili Trawangan. They are so small that you can hardly find them on a map and you can walk around them completely within a maximum of two hours.

How cool is it, please, to vacation there on these little mini-islands? I think to myself and am really looking forward to an exciting and exciting tour. The journey is a bit hairy: you fly from Frankfurt to Singapore and from there on to Lombok or Bali. From there it goes by car to the ferry ports Senggigi on Lombok or several locations in Bali such as the capital Denpasar. Then a crossing in a speedboat or a regional boat begins. In any case, just getting there is an adventure.

Airbus A380: For diving in Indonesia with the giant plane

The journey was so extremely relaxed - but are there airlines that are more diver-friendly than others? I'm sure I don't have an overview, but one thing is certain: When I travel, I always have a lot of luggage with me - diving equipment and the most important things Travel Gadgets, Singapore Airlines carries a few extra kilos of diving luggage for free. The suitcase can weigh 30 kilograms so that a few fins together with the diving mask and the 3mm tropical suit can easily fit in with them. Ready to Dive in Indonesia: What's going on around the Gilis?

I'm more than looking forward to it my first dive on the Gili Islands. Eventually, I traveled around half the globe to strand on an island the size of the city center of Hamburg. Since I've heard in advance that you can spend your free time on the three little ones on land in restaurants, bars, the famous food market or on the beach, you'll be on the beach Diving Holidays on. Usually I'm struggling to get out of the water and take each dive with me - in anticipation of sharks, Whale Shark, Mantara, Turtle and Co. Will that be different on this trip?
