The 67-year-old Frink is a well-known personality diving sports. He is a respected underwater photographer and editor of Alert Diver Magazine based in Key Largo, Florida. Frink believes the animal in the photo could surpass in size and proportions the legendary Deep Blue, believed to be the world's largest great white shark since 2013. New Filming Doubts – Will Deep Blue Keep Great White Shark Title?
There is no question whatsoever that the great white shark captured is huge. But experts still believe that the great white shark shown is not as big as Deep Blue, and Deep Blue remains the largest great white shark in the world - at least the largest animal ever filmed. The experts also state that the angle of the photograph is misleading. The shark is not as close to the divers as it seems, but a few meters away. This is evident from the recordings of other divers in the shark cage.
Nevertheless, the image is a fascinating, spectacular photo of a great white shark, which is at least a close second to the largest white shark in the world. “Great white sharks are the apex predators of the ocean,” Frink told the newspapers. “The goal of every underwater photographer is to get as close as possible to the animals and take great photos of them. There is a lot of intimacy with the great white sharks in my images. Through underwater photography you can get very close to the animals. For a great white shark, you need a wide-angle lens to photograph it up close. I want to get very close to the animals and show their behavior. That is my goal!"
Photographer Frink reports that South Australia, South Africa and Isla Guadeloupe are his favorite destinations for diving with great whites. “Great white sharks are quite shy,” emphasizes Frink. “We haven't known for a long time where we can even find them regularly and reliably. They are beautiful and majestic. “You deserve to live,” emphasizes the underwater photographer.
