The relatively long stretch of coast is incredibly varied, picturesque and idyllic and is not as overrun with holidaymakers as the surrounding beaches of Scharbeutz, Timmendorfer Strand and Co. For me, the Sierksdorf beach in the Bay of Lübeck is the most beautiful beach in the Baltic Sea. The idyllic sandy beach is located between Neustadt in Holstein and the town center of Sierksdorf. It is easy to reach via the A1 Eutin exit. There is free parking a few hundred meters from the beach. You actually have to take a short walk to the beach and climb down a few steps. However, this also has the advantage that you can see this great beach from above.
The water is clear and slightly greenish, typical of the Baltic Sea. The bottom of this beach is a bit rocky in places. The water is mostly very shallow. In front of the beach there are some sandbanks where you can splash around or play in the water. I always used this section of beach to snorkel in the Baltic Sea. It is well suited for swimming in the Baltic Sea because it is quite well protected.
The long section is often used by holidaymakers to take a long walk on the beach or jog on the beach. The Sierksdorf beach is also particularly suitable for families because they can spread out here and as day guests they don't have to pay anything on at least part of the beach. In addition to the fun family activities, SUP on the Baltic Sea is also wonderfully possible on this beach.
The bottom line is that the overall package at Sierksdorf Beach is just right. For me, that makes it the most beautiful beach in the Baltic Sea. But as already mentioned, tastes are different - and the needs for a beach holiday are also different: Some people prefer a little more hustle and bustle on holiday, others want to go into nature and many are looking for a dog beach on the Baltic Sea holiday with their dog.
