Good travel blogs are an important source of information for many holidaymakers, as they report first hand and often with lots of valuable insider tips about a travel destination. At the same time, blogging is becoming more and more popular as a profession - some even speak of travel blogger: at work - and more and more people are running their own small online travel magazine. What distinguishes good travel blogs and who are the best travel bloggers in Germany? Dive with me into the travel blogger: inner cosmos. I have put together the most important information about good travel blogs and travel bloggers for you.
For travelers and vacationers, a travel blog is the first port of call to find out about a specific travel destination. The often small niche websites often offer valuable insider information from passionate travelers who are very close to the subject and are passionate about all the important facts Destination put together. Many travel bloggers have also specialized in a very specific holiday region, so that they deal very intensively with a travel destination as experts and provide very individual holiday tips for you the most beautiful places in the world can give.
However, it is advisable for holidaymakers looking for tips for the most wonderful time of the year to obtain information from several sources. Because the recommendations in travel blogs can be outdated. In addition, the articles are often written by lay journalists who create the publications as a hobby alongside their actual job. It therefore makes sense to cross-check the information from travel bloggers and not let it flow into your vacation planning without checking. After all, you don't want to experience any unpleasant surprises when traveling during the most wonderful time of the year.
Travel bloggers are often experts for a specific travel destination and can score points with many valuable insider tips.
Sascha Tegtmeyer, travel blogger
While it makes a lot of sense for travelers and holidaymakers to look at a travel blog that provides information about their chosen holiday destination, more and more people also want to become a travel blogger. The good news is that with a little planning and some forethought, basically anyone can become a travel blogger in minutes. I opened my travel blog Just-Wanderlust.com on July 01st, 2016.
Back then I made so many beautiful trips and just wanted to share my wonderful experiences with as many people as possible. So I started Travel reports to write and share high-quality content on my website. After five years, Just Wanderlust is one of the travel blogs with the highest reach in German-speaking countries, with over 60.000 monthly visitors.
To this day, I haven't regretted starting it and investing thousands of hours of work in the travel blog since then. Because in the meantime I've made a name for myself as a travel blogger, I can travel frequently and become a regular for Travel Blog collaborations and have built up a nice income as a publisher - especially thanks to advertorials (sponsored posts).
But the best thing is still the feedback when travelers read something about a destination on Just Wanderlust, then visited the destination and thanked for the tips after the trip - the feeling is really priceless. Then you know that you are doing something really useful with the travel blog.

Good travel blogs – How do I recognize a reputable travel blogger?
Basically, you can recognize good travel blogs and serious bloggers by the fact that they provide you with the information you want in a simple and fast way. If you are looking for a great hotel in the Maldives, you want to be able to read as transparently and understandably as possible why that is Hotelthat the travel blogger (s): in on the Maldives (travelogue) visited, whether it was good or bad. You can then compare his impressions with reviews on Google or with other hotel reviews and get an overall impression.
You can also recognize a reputable travel blogger by the fact that everything he writes is in some way comprehensible, is based on sources or research and is verified with photos. After all, everyone can express their opinion on any topic on the Internet these days - but whether it's all true is a completely different matter. A reputable travel blogger
- writes vividly and concisely about a travel destination, a hotel, a sight or a leisure activity at a travel destination.
- backs up his or her information with the help of traceable sources and quotations, or backs up his or her claims with photos.
- He or she always keeps his or her blog and the posts in it up to date and writes updates when something changes.
If you read good travel blogs, you will notice it right away. Because as a vacationer, you already have a certain sense of what information is authentic and what is only referred to as a mere assertion by the hair. Conversely: If you want to become a travel blogger, you should definitely pay attention to your trustworthiness, substantiate your theses and really make an effort in your research. Because trustworthiness makes the difference for readers, whether they come and go again or become loyal followers of your travel blog.

Travel Influencers List and Ranking – Travel Bloggers on Instagram
I have to say that I struggled a lot with my travel influencer list because, firstly, there are so many travel bloggers on Instagram and, secondly, it's really difficult to say who is the greatest and the best. According to my very personal taste, I took Elke Weiler's sea blog to number 1 because she posts pictures that inspire me as a die-hard beach kid: beach, sea - and dog.
In my completely subjective list, I have included a number of other travel influencers and travel bloggers on Instagram - in the hope that they will serve as good inspiration for your next trip. And yes, I also included myself in the ranking - in last place.
1. Elke Weiler (@meerblog)
2. Travel bloggers Bolle & Martin (@kommwirmachendas quite simply)
3.Vanessa & Martin (@oneyear.off)
4. Patrick Biedenkapp | Captain (@pilotpatrick)
5. Luisa Nebel (@sunnyside2go)
6. Weltreize travel blog (@weltreize)
7. Travelinspired (@travelinspired.de)
8. Catherine | LOTS ON THE WAY (@a lot on the way)
9. Katharina 🏖 So near and so far (@sonahundsofern_travel_style)

12. Jana Zieseniss (@sonneundclouden)

Good travel blogs tips & recommendations – get inspiration from travel bloggers
My conclusion
Traveling the world, writing about exciting experiences and earning money – many people now dream of becoming a travel blogger and having their own travel blog. And in fact, it is still a dream job where you can turn your hobby into a career. You can organize your time completely freely, travel the world and work from anywhere. But things aren't all that rosy: in order to build reach, you have to write a lot of good articles. This is very time-consuming and labor-intensive.
The requests for travel blog cooperations are irregular and you often get bad financial offers and have to negotiate with the clients. In order to really be able to live off a travel blog full-time, you need around 100.000 readers per month - and in order to reach that many people, you have to produce a lot of good content. Anyone who accepts this and is willing to work 80 hours a week for their success as a travel blogger will find the most beautiful job in the world with their own travel blog.
What other good travel blogs do you know? Have you already started a travel blog or are you planning to become a travel blogger? Share your experiences in the comments below.
We are very pleased that you included our blog in your list. Thank you very much for that! 🙂
Greetings from the coast
